In 2000 Kim began her formal art training at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts, in Lyme, CT. Studying the people and places around me and translating that experience to canvas is transcending. It requires an intensity of focus and sensitivity to the subject that is both spiritual and deeply sensual.”
In 2016 she received a master's degree in Consciousness Studies, a turning point for her. “I’ve always felt that there is the conversation we are having and the conversation we are not having. The one we are not having is so much more interesting and essential and that is the one I’d like to have and bring into my work. It reflects the deeper, truer source of simply being.”
In addition to painting, Kim is a mindfulness coach and leads workshops on creativity and consciousness. She also facilitates a weekly mindfulness and meditation group. For more information on Kim's workshops and meditation groups, click here.
She currently resides in Connecticut and Florida.
